STEVE LUKATHER – Bridges
Nuovo album da solista di Steve Lukather, il chitarrista dei Toto. “Bridges” racchiude ottimi brani che spaziano tra vari generei musicali e su tutto c’è il suol estro chitarristico ed anche un songwriting ispirato. “Far From Home” è una rock song alla Toto, belle melodie e tinte AOR e “Not My Kind Of People” è un hard rock trascinante e con un riff anni 70/80 e non poteva mancare un ottimo guitar solo. C’è poi “Someone”, che si sposta verso quel pop raffinato ed elegante che spesso i Toto ci hanno offerto e in alcuni casi ci sono delle attinenze con i Police dei loro ultimi due album. Avvolgente ed affascinante la ballad “All Forevers Must End”, il melodic hard rock/AOR di “Whern I See You Again”. Nel finale ci sono i brani più ricercati come il blues/soul/gospel di ”Take My Love”, il jazzato “Burning Bridges” e “I’ll Never Know”, dalle sfumature prog/AOR. Un album di alti livelli e scorrevole, ma sicuramente da un chitarrista ed una mente come quella di Steve Lukather ci si aspetta di più.
