BLACK SWAN – PARALYZED
Terzo album per i Black Swan, supergruppo formato da musicisti di prima categoria, Robin McAuley già con Michae Schenker, Reb Beach, chitarrista dei Winger e dei Whitesnake, Jeff Pilsom al basso, già con Dokken, Foreigner e tantissime altre collaborazioni e alla batteria Matt Starr, già con i Burning Rain. “Paralyzed” è un ottimo album ben arrangiato e molto trascinante. “When The Cold Wind Blows” è una energica heavy metal song con forti melodie e “Death Of Me” è un brano più cadenzato e frizzante e con un refrain molto glam ed in entrambe i brani si sente la classe di Reb Beach alla chitarra.
C’è poi “Different Kind Of Woman”, brano sempre molto accattivante e con un‘ottima performance vocale di Robin McCauley e “If I Was King”, che ci ricorda i tempi di quando il cantante prestava la sua ugola a Michael Schenker. Ds segnalare anche “Shakedown”, songs sempre molto accattivante e “I’m Ready” ottima power ballad dalle forti melodie. C’è l’hard rock blues verso il finale con “Battered And Bruised”, molto anni settanta e dove Reb Beach sfodera l’effetto wha wha per la sua chitarra. Un album veramente ben fatto con brani trascinanti ma ricchi di spunti melodici.
